Kaiser Share

Here's is what I have been busy doing for the last week!

4 cards using Kaisers new Bubblegum Hill range.

I just love how they are being displayed at The Paper Flourish.

Isn't the frame way cute??

Hanging from the bottom are the step by step instuctions on how to make them!

We went to Maggie Beers Farm in January and the kids were allowed to have a play in the kitchen after the demonstration was over. They had fun pretending they were cooking in the kitchen where The Chef and the Cook series was filmed.

Nan's Kitchen papers used for this layout.

The layout came together really quickly except for the three hours of handstitching around the chipboard squares!!

Remind me not to do that again............my finger tips are sooooooo sore!!!

Thanks for stopping by

Cheers

cough cough ..........splutter!

Yep I'm joining the ranks of the sick.....feel really crappy and flat.
With this in mind, I decided to kill two birds with one stone and combine both the Crafters Club challenge and Anthea's sketch this month.

The crafters challenge was to create a flower from a paper doily and use it on a layout. Not quite what I was after but just couldn't be bothered fiddling anymore!
Will have another go when I'm feeling better
Here's Anthea's Sketch

and by take on the sketch

Sorry it's crooked.....cant stand straight or still!!
Thanks for popping by

Crowned week 3 and a TOOT!

This week we had a selection of songs to choose our title/journalling from.
As soon as I saw the lyrics from "It's a Wonderful World" I knew I wanted to use photos of Ashleigh from baby through til now.

Tracey, the owner of my LSS The Paper Flourish, has blown me away by asking me to be apart of her creative team. I get to work with Kaisers new releases each month producing both cards and a layout. Here is a pic of the kit I picked up Thursday

Pretty darn amazing dont you think??
Pictured is the Bubblegum Hill and Nan's Kitchen ranges.
I have made my cards from the BH range and used the leftovers on the above layout!
Still have heaps.
Happy Scrappin to you All

Crowned Week 2

aaaahhhhh but what happened to week 1 you might ask.
Well there were a few hickups at school with a bullying issue so basically it didnt get finished.
So I'm now not in the running for the major prize but it's the playing along that I'm enjoying!
This week is the Swimming suit competition eeeeekk!
Create a layout where yellow is the dominant colour, polka dots the main design element and the layout had to reveal something about us.

This layout was made with all scraps so I'm really pleased to make that pile a tad smaller!
Hope you have a wonderful day

Cheers

Cutwork Envy

I dont know about you ladies out there but I am constantly blown away by those super talented women that can produce stunning layouts with stacks of layering and cutwork.
They can look at a piece of patterned paper and see it's potenial but for me it's either a like or dislike kind of thing.

Blog hopping one day I stumbled across an online store Scrapping Outback and looking through all the goodies avaliable I found a 5 product kit.
I instantly said oooooo yuk (blushing big time big time here!!!!)
Then I looked through the forum and came across what Alicia Barry had done with the kit.
OMGoodness!!!!!!
Never in a million years would I have thought to do that!!
I purchased the kit LOL!!!!
Here is the kit

and here is my layout which has been lifted from Alicia's with a few minor changes.

Going to try and look at patterned paper more closely to see what I can see!
Happy scrapping
Terri

Quick LO Share

It seems every month I plan on doing alot of the challenges from around the traps but rarely do I get the time to complete them! This LO is one of those!!!

Here is the sketch by the ultra talented Anthea for January.

and here is my take on it

Mitch had just reeled in a whopper carp and was super keen to cast his line back in for more fishing action. Unfortunatley for him, no more fish were caught.

Back to the table for me!
Happy scrapping

Crafters Club

The local scrap store, The Paper Flourish, holds a crafters club twice a month.
One for stamping and card making and the other for scrapbooking.
It's a wonderful way to spend an hour or so chatting and sharing ideas with some very talented ladies. We have a month to complete our projects before taking them back for sharing!

For the LO below Tracey gave us a beautiful piece of patterned paper and a sketch for inspiration.
Really pleased with how this turned out as it was a piece of paper that I would normally not buy.
One of those really to beautiful one to cut up ones.........IYKWIM!! LOL!!!!

For the card making club we were again given a really too beautiful to cut up pieces of paper!! This is where my love for easel cards started as I wanted to use as much of the paper as possible.

Just putting the finishing touches to Friday cards and will share those with you soon
Thanks for popping in

Cheers

Scrapdango's Crowned Competition

My February Challenge......

....over at Artistic Document was going to be my entry into WW1 but as I soon discovered I didnt have much in the way on navy or royal blue!

The Challenge
White + plus one other colour of your choice
PP only to be used to make your embellishments - no purchased embellishments allowed!
Series of photos to tell the story - 2 or more
1 word title

This LO was totally inspired by a card I had seen by Chloe Schmitt I simply enlarged the design. But I soooo loved the signpost she had created that I just had to lift it!

I have been having a great deal of fun making cards of late, have kinda come full circle, I was a card maker long before I discovered scrapping.
Here is the card I made for the Back to School CC last month ( yes slack blogger! )

Art Class
Make and easel card - I posted a tutorial on how to make one, they are super easy
The card need to include canvas, water colour paint or pencils, pp, stamping and anything else the girls wished to use.

I will try and update my blog everyday while I'm on holidays, I have a few things to share.............blush
